Rives Theatre
Dear Patrons of the Rives Theatre,
Following the success of the Rives Theatre in providing quality special event activities, we will now be evolving into a community based theatre. Your support of our special events, concerts and art programs allowed for this positive transition in the theatre's revitalization. Due to the success of the Rives Theatre, a new committee of passionate volunteers, Friends of Rives Theatre (FORT) was formed.
Its mission: To preserve the historic Rives Theatre in Uptown Martinsville, for use as a venue for visual performing and educational programs. By doing so, the Friends of Rives Theatre hopes to support and enhance the community's cultural health and diversity.
The members of Friends of Rives Theatre include:
Paul Ashbrook - Interim Chairman
Johnny Buck - Interim Vice-Chairman
Doug Williams - Interim Social Director
Current Memebers include:
Annelle Williams, William Baptist, Jim Clark, Lindsey Bryant, Faye Holland, Rives Coleman and Lee Probst
We encourage you all to take advantage of this rentable space for concerts, plays, private parties, business presentations and fundraiser events. Our hope is that you, the patrons of tthe Rives Theatre, will take a first hand approach in this expansion by making this community space your own creative outlet.
