Outstanding Private Investment: This couple decided to take a chance and open a chain known for its downtown location, the Daily Grind. After investing thousands of dollars' worth of repairs, updates, and remodeling, the Daily Grind opened its doors in November and is now a beautiful place to escape, any time of day.

Debbie Hall was Martinsville Uptown's Executive Director and moved to successful career in banking, but she always maintained an interest in the Main Street program and came back to serve MURA on the Design Committee, then as Design Chair, Vice President and President for last two years. Debbie has given much time and effort to improving Martinsville Uptown, and we thank her for her wisdom and dedication.
